The 2009 season comes to a End
Monday 7 December 2009
The end of the 2009 growing year is upon us again and, as the plants from this season finish producing, two things are taking place in the nursery. Our winter crop of sweet cocktail tomatoes which was planted in September is bursting out and next season's baby plants are also now established and a few inches high already.
Our winter crop tomatoes are a welcome alternative to the majority of fruit available this time of year. They can be found at a small selection of farmers' markets that we attend this winter in London and the South . You can also find us at Borough Market, London Bridge every Friday 11-6 and Saturday 9-4 in the new "Jubilee Market" section behind Roast Restaurant. Try and make the most of these and of the final picks of one or two varieties as the last plants are pulled out. 2010 New Season tomatoes will be available early March next year if Mother Nature agrees.
Thank You for your continuing interest and custom of The Tomato Stall and our Very Best Wishes to you and yours for the coming holiday season!
